| 3 mi - 8:15 pace - If I run slower than about 9:00min/mile I have more stability issues/pain, but I'm not strong enough to do it everyday yet, so I'm basically alternating what feels like tempo runs and skating. The skating seems to help build all those random support muscles more than resistence band work was doing.

| Two weeks until the 6 month mark since I tore my hamstring! It isn't much, but I figure that doing really short runs like these is the only way I'm going to get back into it without aggravating it like last month. Seems so stupid that I can't even do three miles and run the next day. I'm trying to not go crazy, but it's really frustrating that my 'workouts' now consist of warming up and cooling down.

It was too much downhill for the injured leg and I had to slow down about three miles in, but there was an uphill from around 4.5 to 5.5, which was like heaven as I could actually run the uphill without pain. Probably the only race where I've ever run the uphill portions faster than the down.
I won some cool bright green knee-high socks! :P
